Osteopathy
Osteopathy and cranial osteopathy
Your treatment will typically last around 30 minutes and your osteopath will be able to help and advise you if you would benefit from additional support or referral.
People come to see osteopaths for a variety of problems and we have good results treating not only short-term acute injuries but also longer term and recurrent problems that have struggled to fully resolve. Common problems we see include (not exclusively) back pain, neck pain, joint pain and some types of headaches. Osteopathy can also help manage the symptoms of osteoarthritis.
When you see one of our osteopaths, we will look in detail at where the problem is coming from but we will also take a thorough case history and a holistic look at the entire person and assess what other factors may be contributing. We then aim to address any dysfunction with a combination of hands on treatment, exercises and advice as needed. Hands on treatment may include massage, stretching, joint manipulation and acupuncture and we may advise you on posture, exercises and other lifestyle factors.
Cranial osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy is a type of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stresses throughout the body.
It can be used alongside other interventions to treat a range of conditions in people of all ages, from birth to old age.
Booking an appointment:
You can book directly to see one of our osteopaths, but if you have medical insurance please check that you are covered prior to making an appointment. Some insurers may require that you are seen by a doctor first.
