BespokeCare

The Bespoke Service

Healthcare Group is offering a detailed health analysis provided by our expert Nursing and GP Team. Led by Dr Vicky Carre and Dr Nick Dunn, BespokeCare gives a complete picture of your health and a plan to guide opportunities for improvement. With a BespokeCare plan, you can be proactive about establishing your current health status and making positive changes to safeguard your future wellbeing.

The BespokeCare Package

Your BespokeCare journey begins with a detailed questionnaire for you to complete at home asking about your medical history, any current problems, and your lifestyle, encouraging you to take time to reflect on where you are at with your health and giving us a comprehensive picture of your current health status.

The next step is an extended appointment with a senior nurse for measurements and tests (more details below). You will come back 1-2 weeks later to see one of our expert doctors for a detailed interview, physical examination, and review of all your test results.

You will receive a summary of the consultation findings with your test results and a suggested action plan in the form of a personalised report, both as a paper and digital copy. As doctors with wide experience in all fields, we believe our General Practitioners are best placed to offer you the most comprehensive and holistic medical screening service.

BespokeCare Tests

Height and weight measurements

Height and weight measurement means your Body Mass Index (BMI) can be calculated, a marker of whether you are a healthy weight.

Urine analysis

Urine dip testing to check for protein and blood in the urine, important markers of kidney health. Dip analysis also checks for evidence of infection and diabetes.

Blood pressure and pulse checks

Pulse rate and rhythm and blood pressure levels are important markers of cardiovascular health. Raised blood pressure often has no symptoms but over the long-term is an important risk factor for heart disease and stroke, so regular screening is essential.

ECG

Twelve sticky electrodes are placed over the chest to give a print-out of your heart’s electrical conduction pattern, giving a window into your cardiac function.

Oxygen saturation measurement

Also known as pulse oximetry, this gives a % value of your blood’s oxygenation level, a marker of lung and heart function.

Peak expiratory flow rate measurement

A simple test of breathing function to establish lung health.

FENO (exhaled nitric oxide) measurement

Another breathing test, measuring a marker of lung inflammation, raised in many conditions including asthma, lung infection and smoking.

Blood tests

  • basic panel for our Bronze Medicals

Fasting blood tests to check for kidney and liver health, thyroid levels, blood cell counts, diabetes screen, cholesterol check and markers for cardiac health, inflammation markers, and a marker for gout.

  • detailed panel for our Platinum Medicals

Extra blood tests offered include testosterone and PSA for men, female hormones and an ovarian cancer marker for women, and markers for bowel and pancreatic cancers*.

*Note these cancer biomarkers can guide the need for further investigations but are not diagnostic. Levels can be slightly raised when there is no cancer or conversely may be normal in early stages of cancer. These factors need to be taken into account when you decide if you want these tests. Our doctors will always be happy to explain further and help you decide.

An allergy is when the body’s immune system over-reacts to something that is harmless to most people. The substance is known as an allergen.

Skin-prick testing is quick and easy to perform and the results are immediate.

Specific-IgE testing can help to assess if you may be allergic to something. Various types are available: we use one called ALEX-2.

We offer two types of breath tests. We can test for lactose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
