Menopause

Menopause is a point in time twelve months after a woman’s last natural period. Women experience various symptoms leading up to menopause due to the changing hormone levels, including hot flushes, anxiety, mood swings, and period irregularities. These symptoms can vary enormously and may significantly impact the quality of your life. We have doctors across our units who can discuss strategies to help you.

Watch our video below about the significance of mental health during the menopause:

Dr Lucy Joslin is one of the island’s leading experts on menopause. She runs a dedicated clinic at St Martin's Surgery. It provides holistic care for all aspects of perimenopause and menopause, including diagnosis, diet and lifestyle advice, treatment (including non-hormonal options) and follow-up.

If you would like to attend Dr Joslin's menopause clinic, please call St Martin's surgery. These are extended appointments which allow time to explore all of your concerns.
