ADHD Medication Clinic

ADHD Medication Clinic

Many adults are diagnosed later in life and can experience significant challenges at work, at home and in relationships. With the right support, ADHD can be managed effectively and safely. Medication is one part of ADHD care and should always be started and monitored carefully, with appropriate clinical oversight. Our Adult ADHD Medication Clinic at our St Martin’s has been designed to provide structured, local support for adults who already have a confirmed diagnosis and need help with starting, adjusting or continuing medication in a safe and well-monitored way.

Who we can see

We can see adults diagnosed by:

  1. Oberlands / CAMHS

  2. UK-based ADHD services (ideally CQC-registered)

  3. Clinicians who diagnose but cannot prescribe

This clinic does not provide ADHD diagnosis.

What we offer

  1. Initiation and titration of ADHD medication

  2. Monitoring of symptoms and side effects

  3. Ongoing prescribing (controlled drugs are issued every 3 months)

  4. All patients must have an annual psychiatric review.

We work closely with Dr O’Driscoll, Lead for ADHD at Adult Mental Health Services, who provides psychiatric oversight for our clinic.

Patients under UK private providers

We can continue prescribing under a written shared-care agreement. If this is not in place, patients can transition to our clinic for local oversight.

Children and under-18s

The clinic does not initiate medication in under-18s.However, we are happy to continue prescribing for children under shared care with a private provider and can support families ahead of transition to adult services.

An allergy is when the body’s immune system over-reacts to something that is harmless to most people. The substance is known as an allergen.

Skin-prick testing is quick and easy to perform and the results are immediate.

Specific-IgE testing can help to assess if you may be allergic to something. Various types are available: we use one called ALEX-2.

We offer two types of breath tests. We can test for lactose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
