
Nurse Lydia Conaway
RGN
Nurse Lydia qualified in 2024 from University of Southampton. Originally from Hampshire, she moved to Guernsey after meeting her partner Dan while travelling during a gap year at university. She began her nursing career at Princess Elizabeth Hospital on the Day Assessment Unit, where she gained extensive experience administering IV medications, before transitioning into her current role as a Practice Nurse.
Since joining healthcare, Lydia has developed a strong passion for diabetes care and weight management, which complements her interest in fitness and healthy living. She particularly enjoys supporting patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes and helping them improve their long-term health and wellbeing through realistic, achievable goals. Lydia is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel listened to, encouraged and confident in managing their health.
Lydia is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes to further enhance her ability to provide specialist care within primary care settings. She enjoys building strong relationships with patients and values the opportunity to support them throughout their healthcare journey.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys all things fitness related, especially outdoor activities, as well as reading, gardening and travelling to new countries.
