Dr Alexandre Czerniewski


Alex was born in Canada, is a Belgian citizen and lived in Scotland for the last 11 years. Due to this, he speaks and writes fluently in English, French and Polish.

He finished 3 university degrees including a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Chemistry at McGill University in Canada and later completed his medical training in English at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He did both his Foundation and GP training in Scotland, including part of his training on the Isle of Arran. He achieved MRCGP qualifications in 2017.

Prior to arriving in Guernsey, he has acquired extensive experience as a locum GP across Scotland. He is constantly on the lookout for new, exciting challenges in his career for example, he has developed experience in steroid joint injections and minor surgery procedures. Alex enjoys outdoor activities including hill walking. He also loves music and has a passion for the piano. Chopin is his favourite as well as Metallica!
